“Grinding Out Results”: Zwane Fuels Usuthu’s Historic Surge

AmaZulu head coach Arthur Zwane credits the squad’s thriving environment and high enjoyment levels for fostering the self-belief driving their record-breaking start in the Betway Premiership.

Emphasizing the need to maintain momentum following their 2-1 victory over Durban City on October 13, the 53-year-old tactician insists Usuthu must keep grinding out performances as demanding fixtures pile up.

With games coming thick and fast, Zwane remains focused on consistency, urging his side to sustain their winning formula throughout the campaign.

“It’s always good to be in an environment where you enjoy yourself, and the players enjoy themselves as well. It enhances self-belief and makes you feel that things can go our way,” Zwane said.

“So far, so good. We just need to continue where we left off in terms of putting in a good performance, like we did last night [against Durban City]. We need to keep grinding out results.

“These games come thick and fast, so you have to be ready for every game that comes your way. So far, I think we need to keep things the way they are.”

AmaZulu will return to action next weekend against Kruger United in the Carling Knockout Last 16, followed by a Betway Premiership KwaZulu-Natal derby against Golden Arrows on October 31.
