AmaZulu head co-coach Arthur Zwane has shared that the aim is to bring a smile back to the club after a period of disappointment.
Along with Vusimuzi Vilakazi, Zwane took over from former head coach Pablo Franco and they were in the hot seat as they lost their first game in charge against Orlando Pirates.
“We’re nothing without our supporters, they have been carrying the team through thick and thin all these years, never giving up on this team,” Zwane said.
“We came on board, knowing very well that these are the people we need to make happy, to put a smile on their faces, so yeah we appreciate their support, cherish every moment with them and please they must come to the game in numbers to support the boys.”
Zwane anticipated that the KZN derby against Royal AM could be challenging, but luckily the team walked away with all three points.
The result was one of relief because after securing back-to-back wins in the Betway Premiership, the team faced another loss against TS Galaxy.
Now back to winning ways, Usuthu’s next assignment in the league will be against Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday, 24 December. Kick-off is at 15h00.
