AmaZulu FC chairman Sandile Zungu has lauded the club’s new signings Abbubaker Mobara and Abraham Majok as great signings.
The two players joined the KwaZulu-Natal giants during the recent January transfer window as the club prepared for the second round of the current campaign.
Mobara has joined Usuthu from fellow Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit Cape Town City, while Majok was signed from Cypriot side PAEEK.
“We have acquired two great signings,” Zungu said as he welcomed the two players to the Durban-based club.
“We have got a striker (Majok) and we also have a versatile player Mobara) who (can play) box to box (in midfield) and in defence, and who is creative.”
Mobara, 27, will compete with the likes of Mbongeni Gumede and Tapelo Xoki in defence, while being able to operate as a central midfielder.
The former Orlando Pirates star is a former South Africa under-23 international and he has also played for the senior national team, Bafana Bafana.
On the other hand, Majok, 23, is a striker, who can also operate as a winger having turned out for Western Sydney Wanderers and Central Coast Mariners in Australia.
The Kenya-born, Australia raised player, played for the Australia under-23 national team, but he is now a South Sudan international.
AmaZulu are scheduled to take on Pirates in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 match at Orlando Stadium on Sunday.
