AmaZulu Football Club has taken an early lead in the transfer market by securing two notable signings: defender Sandile Mthethwa and seasoned midfielder Bongani Zungu.
Previously representing Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, these players are now joining Usuthu on permanent contracts, much to the excitement of co-coaches Arthur Zwane and Vusimuzi Vilakazi.
Drawing from his extensive experience, Zungu is committed to nurturing the development of the younger players on the team.
With experience in France, Scotland, and Portugal, the four-time South African league champion is driven by the ambition to secure more trophies.
“Everywhere I’ve played, I’ve managed to win trophies, and I want to bring that same winning mentality here. I know what it takes to win, and that’s my aim,” he remarked.
Zungu is also eager to collaborate with Zwane and Vilakazi saying, “I’ve watched AmaZulu’s games, and the team plays the modern game. My understanding of the game will help the team, but I know I have to work hard to earn my place.”
