AmaZulu FC head coach Arthur Zwane has expressed his gratitude to the club’s senior management for his contract extension.
The Soweto-born tactician’s contract extension at the KwaZulu-Natal giants was confirmed in May, with one match left in the 2024/25 season, which was against Orlando Pirates.
Zwane has explained that the decision to prolong his stay at Usuthu helped ensure that he and his technical team were ‘comfortable’ when doing their jobs.
“Once more, we thank the president [Sandile Zungu], the board, and many other people who played a huge role in making sure that we are comfortable in order for us to do our job properly,” Zwane said.
“We have many people who played a huge role, and the players and their families, to make sure that these players come to training under different circumstances and perform to the best of their abilities.”
Zwane has a new assistant in Simo Dladla, who recently guided Durban City to the 2024/25 Motsepe Foundation Championship triumph and secured automatic promotion to the Betway Premiership.
Dladla, along with fellow assistant coach Sboniso Vilakazi and Zwane, will be looking to guide Usuthu to greater heights during the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.
