We need to keep trusting the process – Martin

AmaZulu FC head coach Pablo Franco Martin believes that his side is on the right path after masterminding a win over TS Galaxy just before the FIFA break.

Usuthu recorded their maiden victory of the 2023/24 season when Augustine Chidi Kwem netted the only goal of the match in a 1-0 win over Galaxy in a DStv Premiership match played in Durban.

Franco Martin urged his charges to trust the process and he also identified the team’s positives five matches into the current league campaign.

“We need to keep trusting the process. Now we are in a better position,” Franco Martin said.

“It’s time to be positive… I mean we have four clean sheets from five games and only a few teams have that. I hope the morale is getting higher.”

The Spanish tactician also commented on one of AmaZulu’s new signings, Rowan Human who has made just two appearances this season – both of them as a substitute.

“Rowan came very late and he didn’t have a pre-season because he was with Bafana [in the Cosafa Cup],” he added.

“We need to get him fit as soon as possible. He was in my plans for the second half [against Galaxy] but circumstances were different.”

AmaZulu will resume their 2023/24 DStv Premiership campaign with a match against Cape Town City at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on 17 September.

Kick-off is at 17h30.
