AmaZulu head co-coach Arthur Zwane insinuated that the team let their guard down in their recent Betway Premiership match, which saw them lose 1-0 against TS Galaxy last week Saturday afternoon.

Following back-to-back wins in the league and a resurgence of form, Usuthu fell short against the Rockets after conceding late in the game.

Zwane and Vusimuzi Vilakazi’s charges controlled the game well in the beginning but lost their spark as the second half progressed, ultimately giving room for

Puso Dithejane to open the scoring for Galaxy.

“We allowed them to get back into the game and build confidence,” said Zwane.

The coach also explained the decision to take Ethan Brooks off the pitch, stating that he had a bit of a knee problem so they didn’t want to risk him getting injured because there are still many matches to be played ahead.

“We were also looking for that progress but obviously it’s not good for us to lose the game like we did,” Zwane continued.

“At least we deserved a point, if not maximum points but it’s just one of those things. That’s football for you.”
