AmaZulu head coach Pablo Franco Martin has commented on his thoughts about the team’s 1-0 victory yesterday afternoon in the DStv Premiership against Cape Town City.
Usuthu did well to grab a positive result before their Nedbank Cup quarter-final match against Orlando Pirates. It was also the team’s first victory of 2024 in the league.
Franco Martin is pleased with the recent events and says although it’s true that the team did not win in the league for a while until recently, not too many games were lost by the KZN outfit.
“The team has always been competitive, sometimes not playing at its best level,” he said.
The coach’s analysis of the game was that they could’ve won in a much easier way, since it was a narrow win but was satisfied nonetheless.
“We are in a process and we know that we are committed to this process. It’s a long term process and we are growing up.”
“From the very beginning since we are here and we are adding a lot of value to this club. We’ve faced many difficulties this season and we’ve worked on all those [difficulties]”
Usuthu will now turn their attention to the Nedbank Cup, where the team will go on a quest to win silverware to hopefully mark a positive end to their campaign.
