Vilakazi targeting maximum points in Sekhukhune clash

AmaZulu co-coach Vusimuzi Vilakazi

AmaZulu co-coach Vusimuzi Vilakazi is looking forward to the team’s next assignment in the Betway Premiership against Sekhukhune United at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Kick-off is at 19h30.

Usuthu’s last match in the league saw them play to a goalless draw against Golden Arrows in the Durban derby.

This upcoming fixture against Babina Noko is an opportunity for the team to continue their unbeaten run and have a better run of form.

“We’re playing at home and we are hoping for the best in terms of making sure that we grind for the results,” says co-coach Vusi Vilakazi ahead of the game.

“We are coming from a game where we expected three points but it’s just not meant to be. It was a derby, and a derby is a little bit difficult.

“But we are looking forward to facing Sekhukhune on Wednesday. We’re taking it one game at a time.”

Vilakazi highlighted that the match against Arrows was an opportunity missed to get into the top eight but has confidence in the team to redeem themselves from that result.

“It’s very important for us to find ourselves in a decent position,” he added.

“When we got here with Arthur, obviously the team was at the bottom [of the table] but as I’ve said we are taking it one game at a time and it’s a work in progress.”
