South Africa are through to the semi-finals of the 2025 Under-20 African Union Sports Council Region 5 Youth Games in Namibia.
This comes after Amajita emerged as 2-0 winners over their Eswatini counterparts in a Group B match played on Wednesday.
AmaZulu starlet Obama Mhlongo sealed the victory at the Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium when he hit the back of the net in the 59th minute.
Steven Mendes of Kaizer Chiefs had opened the scoring in the 28th minute and South Africa went on to secure a well-deserved victory.
Therefore, South Africa will lock horns with Angola in a semi-final encounter at the UNAM Stadium on Friday. Kick-off is at 12h00.
The winner between South Africa and Angola will go head-to-head with either Zambia or Malawi in Sunday’s final.
