AmaZulu FC will battle it out with Orlando Pirates in a DStv Premiership match which is scheduled to be played at the Orlando Stadium on Friday.
Kick-off is at 7:30 pm CAT.
Usuthu suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Richards Bay at home in a league game on October 5 and the club has since parted ways with coach Brandon Truter, and replaced him with Romain Folz.
The KwaZulu-Natal giants are placed ninth on the DStv Premiership standings – two points behind sixth-placed Stellenbosch FC and they will be looking to move into the top eight with a win over Pirates.
AmaZulu will be without Frank Mhango and Veluyeke Zulu due to suspension when they face the Buccaneers.
Pirates stretched their winless run to three matches across all competitions when they drew 0-0 with 10-man Richards Bay at home in a league match last weekend.
As a result, Bucs find themselves placed fifth on the league standings – three points behind second-placed Richards Bay and four points behind leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Buccaneers, who are under the guidance of Spanish coach Jose Riveiro, will be without Thabiso Monyane as the right-back is suspended.
Last season, AmaZulu and Pirates drew 1-1 in Durban in the first-round league encounter, but the Buccaneers emerged as 2-1 winners in Soweto in the reverse fixture.
