Usuthu visit Sphethamandla Day Care in Clermont

AmaZulu FC have painted permanent smiles on Sphethamandla Day Care youth’s faces in Clermont, northwest of Durban ahead of the festive holidays during a joint outreach project with sponsors Buildit on November 29.

Part of the activities on the day included setting up and refurbishing the kid’s playing area, as well as handing over educational toys and groceries.

Usuthu midfield duo of George Maluleka and Sphesihle Maduna, and the club’s office staff were on hand to motivate and play with the children.

AmaZulu Community Trust Programs Manager, Mpho Dintwa thanked Buildit for their continued commitment alongside the club in impacting lives.

“We thank Buildit as our partner for coming on board by assisting the day care with paint, educational toys,” Dintwa said.

“We bought groceries and prepared a space for the day care to set up a vegetable garden. It was about lending a helping hand to Mam’ Makhaye for what she has started.

“Thank you to our sponsors and partners, Buildit and in this case a special mention to Buildit Pinetown who despite the tough economic times decided to come and assist us,” he continued.

“I would also like to encourage other partners outside of our very own sponsors and partners to also join us in reaching out. This is what we do as the AmaZulu Community Trust.”

Sphethamandla Day Care Principal, Mam’ Makhaye expressed her gratitude to the club and Buildit for their effort at assisting the day care which looks after 32 toddlers.

Buildit KZN Regional Procurement Manager, Sbusiso Ngobese made a further pledge to assist in the day care in building of toilets.
