Usuthu returned to winning ways in style in the league when they defeated Kaizer Chiefs 4-0 at home last week having been winless in two matches before facing the Soweto giants.
The KwaZulu-Natal giants find themselves placed sixth on the DStv Premiership standings – three points behind fourth-placed Chiefs and a win over Gallants will see AmaZulu climb up the table.
Coach Romain Folz’s side will be boosted by the availability of Ethan Brooks with the exciting attacking midfielder having missed Usuthu’s last two matches due to a two-match suspension.
Meanwhile, Gallants stretched their winless run to five matches in the DStv Premiership when they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Richards Bay at home last weekend.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwa occupy the 16th spot on the league standings – three points behind 13th-placed Stellenbosch FC and they are desperate to climb out of the relegation zone.
Coach Dan Malesela’s side will be without former Mamelodi Sundowns central midfielder Sibusiso Kumalo who will be serving his two-match suspension against AmaZulu.
