Usuthu learning & giving youngsters a chance – Arthur Zwane

AmaZulu FC head coach Arthur Zwane has stressed the importance of learning from past performances following the team’s recent win over Richards Bay.

Taariq Fielies’ solitary goal earned Usuthu a well-deserved 1-0 victory over the Natal Rich Boys last weekend, as Zwane’s side got their bid to finish in the Betway Premiership top four back on track.

The victory ended AmaZulu’s four-match winless run and Zwane explained that they are going through a learning phase as we approach the business end of the current season.

“I always believe that certain things happen for a reason,” the former Bafana Bafana international said.

“We are learning every day because the game is a teacher, and our players are growing in stature from situations like these.”

Zwane has given several youngsters a chance to showcase their talent in South Africa’s top flight and he believes that Usuthu will benefit as they target more positive results.

“We’re giving some of our youngsters the opportunity to grow because of the investment the club has made,” the former Kaizer Chiefs academy coach added.

“So, we’re just hoping for the best and that we’ll continue grinding out results.”

AmaZulu will travel to the Western Cape to take on Stellenbosch FC in the Betway Premiership match at the Danie Craven Stadium on April 19. Kick-off is at 20h00.
