AmaZulu drew 1-1 with SuperSport United in a DStv Premiership match played at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday evening.
The result sees Usuthu remain 10th in the league standings, level on points with eight placed TS Galaxy. The team will look forward to the Nedbank Cup clash they have against Sekhukhune United in the Last 16, the match will be played on March 14.
AmaZulu drew first blood in the match within 18 minutes of play courtesy of a goal scored by Victor Lestoalo. Ricardo Goss was beaten after Letsoalo finished after receiving an impressive cross from Augustine Mulenga.
The scoreline 1-0 at half-time with Letsoalo’s first goal of the season. SuperSport United equalised in the 74th minute through Lyle Lakay.
Both teams searched for the winner in the final stages of the match but were unsuccessful, leading to a share of the points as the match ended 1-1.
