AmaZulu FC will battle it out with their KwaZulu-Natal rivals Maritzburg United in the DStv Premiership match at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.

AmaZulu broke a four-game winless run in the Premiership by defeating Baroka FC 1-0 away on April 6, with Luvuyo Memela striking in injury time at the end of the game.

Usuthu have claimed 18 points from 12 home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a 2-2 draw with Stellenbosch FC in early March.

Maritzburg extended their winless run in the league to three matches when they were held 1-1 at home by Swallows FC on April 12, with an equalising goal from Friday Samu.

The Team of Choice has claimed seven points from 11 away matches this season, with their last result on the road a 1-1 draw at Sekhukhune United in mid-March.

In head-to-head stats, Maritzburg and AmaZulu have met in 25 league matches since 2006/07.

The Team of Choice has claimed 11 wins compared to two for Usuthu, while 12 matches have been drawn.

When the teams met earlier this season, at Harry Gwala Stadium in November 2021, they played to a 1-1 draw thanks to goals from Amadou Soukouna and Luvoyo Memela.

It was a third successive draw between the KwaZulu-Natal clubs.
