Truter: What Usuthu need against Downs

Themba Zwane of Mamelodi Sundowns challenged by Keagan Buchanan of AmaZulu during the DStv Premiership 2021/22 match between Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu

AmaZulu FC head coach Brandon Truter says his charges will have to show their Big Match Temperament (BMT) when they face Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.

Usuthu are set to travel to the administrative capital of South Africa, Pretoria where they are scheduled to take on the defending champions in a DStv Premiership match at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

The KwaZulu-Natal giants are coming into this game having lost 2-1 to Chippa United at home in their previous league match last weekend and Truter is keen to ensure that his side returns to winning ways.

“Our reaction must change, there’s a lot of things we need to do better, our mindset and how we do things when under pressure,” Truter said.

“We cannot be losing our emotions too easily and cannot keep on going with this attitude, something must change, we can do better in our next game.

“We have so many experienced players. This calls for a shake-up, we are playing against Mamelodi Sundowns next,” he continued.

“We need players with BMT, this cannot go on for too long.”

The match between AmaZulu and Sundowns will kick-off at 3 pm CAT.
