Truter: We fancy our chances against Chiefs

Brandon Truter, head coach of AmaZulu
AmaZulu FC head coach Brandon Truter believes that his side has what it takes to defeat record-winners Kaizer Chiefs in their MTN8 semi-final tie.
The two teams are set to meet in a two-legged semi-final tie in October this year and Amakhosi are a team with an impressive cup pedigree having won a record 15 Top 8 titles since the tournament was established in 1972.
“We fancy our chances against any team. The boys have been playing well and the team is always improving,” Truter, who masterminded a win over Cape Town City in a quarter-final match last weekend, said.
“There is always room for improvement. I expect us to be top quality against Chiefs. At the semi-final stage of any competition, there is no such thing as weak opposition,
“It’s all top quality teams and for us drawing the mighty Amakhosi means it’s going be a good game for our supporters and it will also be a good game for us in terms of testing.”
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) will announce the dates, venues, and kick-off times forΒ the two semi-final matches in due course.
β€œThe first leg being away will give us an advantage. If we can get the job done early away from home, it will put us in a good position before the second leg,” Truter added.
“We want to do well, we want to win every match and this is a cup on offer so we’ll fancy our chances against Chiefs.”
AmaZulu will be away to Chiefs in a DStv Premiership match at the iconic FNB Stadium on Saturday.
