AmaZulu head coach Pablo Franco Martin has given his thoughts about the team’s away 2-0 defeat to TS Galaxy in the DStv Premiership last weekend.
“The first half was pretty even, I think both teams were controlling the game in defence — not in attack,” said Franco Martin.
Augustine Mulenga suffered an injury during the game and the coach made some changes. Following his analysis of the first half, he believed that Usuthu created better chances going into the second but struggled to find the final product.
“We made mistakes that we’re not used to making this season that are not acceptable. Lack of concentration and communication. And from there, we lacked accuracy in placing the ball into the corner,” he continued.
The coach believes that Galaxy made the most of their opportunities and AmaZulu could not find the ability to do the same, which ultimately led to the team chasing in the match instead of controlling it.
“With the quality that we missed, it was almost impossible to come back even if we tried in the end. As always, we kept creating goal scoring chances. In the end the game was unbalanced and that’s why we couldn’t get the points that we wanted.”
Usuthu’s next match in the DStv Premiership is at home against Polokwane City on Tuesday evening and it will be another opportunity for the KZN outfit to get back on track in the league.
