In the midst of the international break, AmaZulu hired new co-coaches Arthur Zwane and Vusimuzi Vilakazi following the departure of Pablo Franco Martin.
Martin was relieved of his duties due to a poor string of results in the first few games of the Betway Premiership season, and the new coaches have been brought in to get the team back on form.
AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu made it incredibly clear in the beginning of the season the goals that he had in mind for the club, one of which is to finish in the top four of the league.
“When you look at AmaZulu and the set up with development, it’s very much productive,” says Vusimuzi Vilakazi who was heavily involved in the youth coaching system.
“We just need to make sure that the continuation of the development and the feeder team to the first team is aligned. So it is our responsibility to make sure that we change the fortunes of the club.”
“When we look at the three games that we’ve played, they don’t determine if we’re bad or not. We just need to align our minds and be positive and try to get that win that will change the fortunes of the club.”
