AmaZulu winger Augustine Mulenga has shared an update on his fitness following a fracture on his leg back in September.
Mulenga rejoined AmaZulu in last season’s January transfer window, and the 34-year-old has proved himself to be a valuable asset to the team.
“I know that if I was fine, I could have done something to help the team I’m sure, to achieve each and every goal that we set,” said Mulenga to the AmaZulu media team.
“I just pray to God to give me strength, and the other thing is that I believe in God and I have the hope that soon I’ll be back to help the team at some point along the way.”
Mulenga also shared the advice he gets from his teammates and the co-coaches Vusimuzi Vilakazi and Arthur Zwane.
“The coaches have been supportive. They always encourage me not to look down and not to lose hope. Even the guys [teammates] have been supportive since day one.”
