AmaZulu has decided to extend the stays of defensive players Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Mbongeni Gumede ahead of the start of the 2024/24 season. The player’s contract expired last month but Pablo Franco Martin expressed they are part of the future.
Gumede arrived at Usuthu on loan from Orlando Pirates during the 2015/16 season, whilst the team was still playing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. He remained for nine seasons with the club.
As for Ramhlwe Mphahlele, the player arrived at AmaZulu after parting ways with Kaizer Chiefs in 2022. He signed a two year contract with Usuthu, playing 28 games and scoring two goals.
AmaZulu have already parted ways with George Maluleka, Victor Letsoalo, Augustine Kwem and Veluyeke Zulu.
