AmaZulu FC head coach Franco Pablo Martin is satisfied with the playing personnel at his disposal ahead of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.
Usuthu have been one of the most active players in the transfer market reinforcing their squad with some expecting new players in key positions.
Senzo Ndlovu (Sinenkani FC), Boniface Haba (Olympique Safi), Luvuyo Phewa (Mamelodi Sundowns), Etiosa Ighadaro (Mamelodi Sundowns), Sifiso Ngobeni (Mamelodi Sundowns), Kwanda Mngonyama (Moroka Swallows) and Andiswa Sithole (Durban City) have all joined AmaZulu.
Martin is also happy with Usuthu’s technical team which has been beefed up with the appointment of Aubrey Vilakazi as the new goalkeeper coach.
“We trust the quality of our players and our capacity as the technical team,” the Spanish tactician said.
“Also, with the support of our fans, we are sure that we will be better than last season. Our squad is very strong and the players have the right attitude,
“So, we should be where we want to be by the end of the season.”
AmaZulu set to open their 2024/25 campaign with a clash against Polokwane City on 14 September at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Limpopo.
Kick-off is at 20h00.
