New AmaZulu FC forward Victor Letsoalo is determined to help Usuthu record their first win of the 2023/24 season.

The 30-year-old made his competitive debut for the KwaZulu-Natal giants in the 0-0 draw against SuperSport United in a match played in Durban on August 9.

Usuthu are now set to play host to Richard Bay in another DStv Premiership game on Saturday and Letsoalo is looking forward to the KwaZulu-Natal Derby clash.

“It feels good to be at AmaZulu,” Letsoalo, who joined AmaZulu from Sekhukhune United during the current transfer window, said.

“The coach welcomed me very well. Everything is going well [and] we are busy preparing for the game against Richards Bay.

“We are looking forward to the game and the mood is good in the camp. We are just waiting for Saturday so that we can get our first victory.”

The Bafana Bafana international also opened up about working with Usuthu’s head coach Pablo Franco Martin.

“The coach told me to build my confidence by scoring goals during training sessions,” Letsoalo revealed.

“The goals will eventually come in matches. I am comfortable in any position that I play in as long as I am deployed as a forward.

“He [Franco Martin] told me to build my confidence during training sessions by scoring goals and take that into games,” he added.

“We are hoping for the best. We want to win the upcoming match.”

The KZN encounter between Usuthu and the Natal Rich Boys will take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. Kick-off is at 17h30.
