It’s not about us, it’s about Usuthu – Zwane

AmaZulu FC head coach Arthur Zwane is looking to improve his team ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 season.

The 51-year-old tactician guided Usuthu to a sixth-place finish in the Betway Premiership, which is the team’s best finish in the elite league since the 2020/21 campaign.

Furthermore, the KwaZulu-Natal giants will mark their return to the MTN8 next season as they take on Stellenbosch FC in the quarter-finals.

“It is the nature of football. We always prepare for the following season because this is not about us, but it is about the team,” Zwane said.

“In terms of other things, we will still look at what we can do in order to improve the team. As I said, I wouldn’t focus on that right now.

“But what was key for us was to make sure that we stay in the top eight. Other things we are going to deal with next season.”

The 2025/26 season is expected to start in August and AmaZulu will be looking to continue improving under Zwane, and challenge for trophies.
