AmaZulu FC will lock horns with TS Galaxy in a DStv Premiership match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 8:00 pm CAT.
Usuthu stretched their unbeaten run to five matches across all competitions when they edged out Tornado FC 3-2 in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 match at home last weekend.
The KwaZulu-Natal giants will now look to improve their position on the DStv Premiership standings as they are placed sixth on the log – four points behind fifth-placed Kaizer Chiefs, but they are three points above the relegation zone.
Romain Folz, the AmaZulu head coach, indicated that he knows what to expect from Galaxy and he pointed out that they controlled their recent league games.
“We know about the opposition, We know that they are a good team. We’re in a league where every team has quality so there’s no easy game. Everyone is giving their best shot on every occasion, home and away, so there’s no easy game,” Folz said.
“I’d like to say though that there is much more consistency in our performance for the past three, four games. We have controlled most of our games, whether it’s Maritzburg United, Richards Bay, Kaizer Chiefs game, even the Marumo United game we had control of.
“It’s a matter of us fixing minor details but we have much more grasp of the games. And it’s a very positive sign of things coming forward when you start having control in games and that consistency in performance.”
Meanwhile, Galaxy are enjoying a three-match unbeaten run across all competitions having brushed aside Amavarara FC 2-0 in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 match at home last weekend.
The Rockets will be hoping to climb up into the top eight on the DStv Premiership standings with a win over AmaZulu and they are currently placed 10th on the log – a point behind sixth-placed AmaZulu and two points above the relegation zone.
Coach Sead Ramovic’s side will be without Marks Munyai who is suspended, but AmaZulu have been boosted by Sphesihle Maduna’s available after serving his one-match suspension against Tornado.
