Hanamub: Usuthu have enough quality to beat Royal

Riaan Hanamub of AmaZulu

AmaZulu FC left-back Riaan Hanamub believes they have enough quality to defeat Royal AM on Sunday.

The two KwaZulu-Natal teams are set to square off in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban.

“It is not about Royal AM, we are focusing on ourselves. We look at what we have and what we can do,” Hanamub said.

“I think we are more than capable of taking the game to them and hopefully come back with the three points.”

Usuthu are coming into this match undefeated in their last five games in the league having drawn 0-0 with Sekhukhune United away last weekend.

While Thwihli Thwahla are winless in their last three matches in the DStv Premiership, but Hanamub warned that current form doesn’t matter in derby matches.

“The derby is not about form, it is about who wants it the most on the day,” the Namibia international explained.

“So, we can’t look down on them and think that since they are struggling we will [easily] get the three points.”

The match between Royal AM and AmaZulu will kick-off at 15h30.
