AmaZulu FC left-back Riaan Hanamub has revealed that the squad is in a confident mood after resuming training.
Usuthu took a break due to the ongoing FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar and the team has now restarted training under head coach Romain Folz.
Hanamub, who is a Namibia international, explained that they are working on improving their match fitness as a team.
“Obviously, we are all happy to be back and we missed each other so much. We couldn’t wait to see each other,” Hanamub said.
“The mood in the camp is high, we can’t wait to get our bodies in shape and the league to resume.”
Hanamub has been a permanent fixture in AmaZulu’s starting line-up having made 16 appearances across all competitions.
“We are obviously coming back from a break and our physical condition is not where it was before we left for the break,” the 27-year-old added.
“But we are definitely pushing to get our bodies in shape.”
Usuthu are scheduled to face Sekhukhune United on December 31 in Polokwane as the DStv Premiership resumes.
