AmaZulu FC head coach Pablo Franco Martin believes the team will continue to improve following Sere Junior Dion’s return.
Usuthu have won two matches in a row in the DStv Premiership last weekend’s 3-2 win over Cape Town City at the iconic
Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The match against City saw Dion mark his first appearance of the current season with an impressive brace which propelled the KwaZulu-Natal giants to a win over the Citizens.
Franco Martin was pleased to see Dion make his return to action after an injury layoff and the Spanish tactician is hopeful that Usuthu will take their chances in front of goal.
“As a coach, you always want to have the best players possible and as fit as possible, especially the ones who are coming back,” Franco said.
“He was one of the best players last season. Now, with him back, we are capable of converting goals.
“I’m happy with the players we have. I know we will keep on improving.”
Dion scored five goals in 10 league starts for AmaZulu last season having joined the Durban-based club from Marumo Gallants midway through the campaign.
The Ivorian marksman and his Usuthu teammates will take on Polokwane City on Monday in another league match at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Kick-off is at 15h00.
