Former AmaZulu head coach Pablo Franco Martin has taken the time to say goodbye to the club, following his exit.

AmaZulu confirmed on Monday that Franco Martin and his assistant Aitor van den Brule were parting ways with the club, following a poor start to the 2024/25 Betway Premiership campaign.

The Spaniard joined the Durban-based outfit at the start of last season, and his mandate was to guide the club to a top-four league finish.

“After nearly a year and a half of intense work, dedication and enjoyment in the day-to-day process of leading AmaZulu FC, I would first like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the club and the Zungu family for their trust and support,” Franco Martin wrote in his official statement.

“A special thanks to the staff for their professionalism and commitment, to the players for their effort and affection, to all the club’s employees for their invaluable work every day.”

“From now on, there will always be another member of the Usuthu family wherever I am,” he concluded.

AmaZulu’s next league fixture will be against Orlando Pirates on 25 October, following the international break.
