AmaZulu FC head coach Romain Folz believes that they could have beaten Kaizer Chiefs by a wider margin during Friday’s clash.
Usuthu proved too strong for Amakhosi as they claimed an emphatic 4-0 win over the Soweto giants in a DStv Premiership encounter.
Goals from Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Dumisani Zuma, Sere Junior and Bonginkosi Ntuli earned the KwaZulu-Natal giants the victory.
“I am happy we scored four but we could have scored more,” Folz said.
“It is the game that we killed at half-time knowing that we were able to convert our chances.
“I even think there were a couple of chances that [Thabo] Qalinge had in the first 10 minutes that they should have gone in.”
The French tactician feels that Usuthu were better than Chiefs tactically in a game which was played at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium.
“So, I’m extremely happy with our performance and how we approach the game. Tactically we were a better team,” he added.
“But we allowed them to have possibilities in the second half, but I think some of our situations can be done much better.”
AmaZulu are set to welcome Marumo Gallants at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday and kick-off is at 20h00.
