AmaZulu FC head coach Romain Folz believes his side has picked invaluable lessons from their match against Richards Bay over the weekend.

Usuthu drew 1-1 with the Natal Rich Boys in an entertaining DStv Premiership match which took place at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban.

Folz felt that his team was very disciplined which is an improvement from the previous match against Marumo Gallants on January 21 which ended in a 1-1 draw.

“Yes, I think there were positives. In the first half, we were able to create many chances,” Folz said.

“We were technically good when we got into their half and also excellent in regaining possession defensively So they weren’t able to create much.

“We were very disciplined so it’s definitely an improvement from the last game. It’s a game we should’ve won and I strongly believe we were the best team on the field today,” he added.

“But at the end of the day we draw but I don’t think it has anything to do with our performance.”

AmaZulu will now take on Maritzburg United in another KwaZulu-Natal Derby encounter at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday.

Kick-off is at 19h30.
