New AmaZulu FC head coach Romain Folz is determined to fulfill the club chairman Sandile Zungu’s ambition.
The Frenchman has replaced Brandon Truter at the Durban-based club having previously worked for Marumo Gallants as the head coach.
“For me, it’s a good opportunity for me to showcase my work. It is a sign that the previous work in my old club caught the eye of the people,” Folz said.
Zungu has made it clear that Usuthu are looking to win a major trophy this season and Folz is aware of what is expected of him.
“As much as I could’ve done better with my former team, I think we developed some very good football so it’s a progression from me on a personal matter, it’s a club (AmaZulu) with more history,” he continued.
“More than that, it comes down to what the club is looking for in terms of vision and ambition this season and the seasons after that.”
AmaZulu will square off with Orlando Pirates in a DStv Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium on Friday and kick-off is at 19h30.
