AmaZulu FC interim coach Ayanda Dlamini is happy with his charges’ fighting spirit following the team’s clash with SuperSport United on Sunday.
Usuthu were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Matsatsantsa in a DStv Premiership encounter which took place at Tshwane University of Tshwane (TUT) Stadium in Pretoria.
Dlamini expressed his disappointment after the game, but he remains hopeful that the team will soon return to winning ways.
“This game played out exactly the way we expected it to,” Dlamini said.
“SuperSport scored two goals from crosses, which is something we talked about, saying that’s the only way they can score.
“We failed to deal with those two situations and those moments decide the game. At a crucial moment, we went to sleep and they punished us,” he continued.
“So, it has been the story of our season. We concede two goals and then we have to chase the game. We tried to chase and unfortunately, we didn’t get the equalizing goal.
“The positive thing is that the boys are fighting. If we continue like this somewhere somehow we will get it right.”
AmaZulu will play host to Sekhukhune United at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday as the DStv Premiership action continues.
Kick-off is at 20h00.
