Dias thanks outgoing players as Usuthu revamp squad

AmaZulu FC director of football, Pedro Dias, has thanked the outgoing players for their services during their stay at the club.

Usuthu have started preparations for the 2025/26 season by releasing players and reaching an agreement to sell Tshepang Moremi to Orlando Pirates.

“We wish Tshepang all the best as he embarks on a new chapter in his career,” Dias said.

The 16 players who have been released by AmaZulu are: Veli Mothwa, Andile Mbanjwa, Abbubaker Mobara, Sandile Khumalo, Mbongeni Gumede, Kwanda Mngonyama, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Thembela Sikhakhane, Wayde Jooste, Skhulile Manyoni, Rowan Human, Ethan Brooks, Augustine Mulenga, Msindisi Kunene, Junior Dion, and Boniface Haba.

“I would like to thank all these individuals for their contributions to our club and community. We are grateful for the great moments we shared together. On behalf of everyone at AmaZulu FC, we wish them all the best in their future endeavours,” Dias added.

The KwaZulu-Natal giants also confirmed that Etiosa Godspower Ighodaro and Sifiso Ngobeni have returned to their parent club after their loan spells at Usuthu.

“Additionally, the club would like to acknowledge the return of Etiosa Ighodaro and Sifiso Ngobeni to their parent club, Mamelodi Sundowns FC, following the conclusion of their loan spells,” a statement read.

“We extend our thanks to Etiosa and Sifiso for their efforts during their time with us and wish them success in their careers going forward.”

Usuthu concluded by saying: “As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the team, AmaZulu FC is actively working behind the scenes to build a strong and competitive squad for the upcoming seasons. Further announcements regarding new signings will be made in due course via the club’s official platforms.”
