AmaZulu Football Club deeply regrets the incident involving our member of staff, who was found guilty by the PSL Disciplinary Committee for verbal sexual harassment against a female official from Orlando Pirates.
As a Club, we wish to express our sincere apologies to the affected individual, as well as to Orlando Pirates Football Club, the Premier Soccer League, our fans, sponsors, and the broader football community for the unacceptable behaviour displayed by one of our representatives.
At AmaZulu FC, we have always upheld the values of respect, integrity, and equality, and we do not condone any form of harassment or discrimination. We recognize the gravity of this matter and have taken immediate steps to address it internally.
The staff member has been reprimanded and disciplined accordingly, expressing his remorse for his actions both during the hearing and subsequently. Furthermore, we have instituted additional training and education programs for all our staff to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals in football. AmaZulu FC is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and conduct within our organization.
While regrettable, this incident does not reflect the values and ethos of our esteemed Club.
