Usuthu’s next challenge in the DStv Premiership will be on Wednesday evening, when they take on Stellenbosch at the Danie Craven Stadium. Kick-off is at 19h30 CAT.
Leading up to the game, AmaZulu are coming off the back of a defeat against Richards Bay where a late goal from the opposition saw the team lose out on a share of the points.
Coach Pablo Franco Martin has pointed out that even though the team lost their previous fixture, they played a decent game. It was unfortunate that a weaker performance in the second half led to a loss of points.
The KZN outfit is currently 12th place in the league standings just a point off from the 8th position, with 31 points. Usuthu has won two out of their last five games. They’ve also lost two and drawn one fixture.
With four games remaining, the goal for the team is to finish off strong for a dignified finish in the DStv Premiership. The match against Stellenbosch will be a chance to start a good run in the league.
As for Stellies, the team is coming off the back of a disappointing loss to league winners Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup, so they will be out for vengeance.
