AmaZulu will be making a trip to the Peter Mokaba Stadium to take on SuperSport United in a DStv Premiership clash on Saturday evening. Kick-off is at 17:30 CAT.
Usuthu are looking to bounce back from their last game, where the team lost their lead to Moroka Swallows in the final minutes leading up to a share of the points.
Coach Pablo Franco Martin has expressed that he does not think the match will be an easy one, especially considering that Usuthu will be playing away.
“We are not in the same conditions, for us it’s recovery training and we need to travel an uncomfortable trip and play the next day,” said Franco Martin.
“We know they are one of the most powerful teams in the PSL, but we are ready and I trust the capacity of the players and our team, I’m sure we are going to be competitive.”
Usuthu defender Wayde Jooste also gave some insight regarding the fixture against their opponents.
“SuperSport is a very strong team and they are not where they are on the log by mistake,” he said.
“It’s going to a very difficult game and they are the type of team that plays direct football with a lot of crosses.”
Jooste summed up the team’s last performance in the league and said that the team was very disappointed by the draw against Moroka Swallows, especially considering that they were very close to walking away with all three points.
“But now the focus is to get three points against SuperSport and we can focus on getting into the top eight, then to the top four,” he concluded.
