Usuthu are gearing up for their KZN derby against Royal AM, which will be their last fixture of the year. The game will be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday evening and kick off is at 5:45 pm.
Leading up to the fixture, AmaZulu come off the back of a draw against Cape Town Spurs and are currently placed in 10th position in the DStv Premiership with 19 points. Usuthu are also unbeaten in their last two matches. Their opponents Royal AM are in 13th place.
Ahead of the match, Usuthu head coach Pablo Franco spoke about the team’s injury problems and questioned some of the refereeing decisions in their last few games. The coach also touched on the loss of Bongi Ntuli, which he says was traumatising for everyone at the club.
“Despite all those situations, we are finishing with 19 points, I think it is something to be happy about. But not today because we should have finished with 21 points based on the kind of games that we had,” said Franco.
