AmaZulu will take on Sekhukhune United in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday evening at the King Zwelithini Stadium.

Kick-off is at 7:30 pm CAT.

Usuthu will be looking to get back to winning ways after suffering a defeat against league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. In what was a promising display of football from AmaZulu despite losing, the team is looking forward to their next fixture and are confident in their ability to regain momentum in the league.

The mighty KZN side find themselves in 14th position on the log and will move up to 10th place, displacing Sekhukhune should they win all three points. Ahead of the highly anticipated clash, Usuthu midfielder Hendrick Ekstein spoke about the importance of collecting maximum points in the match.

“It’s going to a tough game, it’s not going to be easy. As a team we need to win the match because we are 14th now and it’s not a good position. The way that we are playing, we deserve to be higher up on the log,” he said.

Ekstein also added that head coach Pablo Franco’s style of mentorship requires the team to constantly work for the ball and press, which he thinks is a good way for the team to play their football.

Sekhukhune have won their last two fixtures in the DStv Premiership and AmaZulu will be looking to break their current winning streak in the league.
