AmaZulu FC will take aim at Stellenbosch FC in a rescheduled Betway Premiership clash, set for the Danie Craven Stadium on the evening of Tuesday 15 April 2025. Kick-off is at 19:30 CAT.

AmaZulu will be chasing a second successive Premiership win, having defeated KwaZulu-Natal rivals Richards Bay 1-0 in their last match on April 4.

Taariq Fielies scored the only goal of the game as Usuthu snapped a four-game winless run and put themselves back in top-eight contention.

In fact, head coach Arthur Zwane believes a top-three finish is possible for his team, if they can put together a powerful end to their campaign.

“The ball is in our hands,” said Zwane. “It’s all up to us if we want to go and play in the Confederation Cup… it is all up to us.

“It is how we are going to execute ourselves in the next coming games. We need to win all the games and when I look at the squad we have assembled, the character we’ve shown this season is good.”

Stellenbosch may also have their focus set elsewhere, as they have a CAF Confederation Cup first-leg semifinal match against Simba SC of Tanzania looming at the weekend.

The Cape side made South African football proud by eliminating Egyptian giants Zamalek in the previous round, and come into this match on the back of a 1-0 away win over the White Knights in Cairo last midweek.

“It’s good that there is a certain region that can compete against the giants of African football, which is the North Africans. So, we are very proud of what we are doing,” said Stellies head coach Steve Barker.

In head-to-head stats, Stellenbosch and AmaZulu have met in 11 league matches since 2019/20, with Usuthu claiming four wins compared to three for Stellies, while three games have been drawn.

However, in the teams’ most recent meeting, in January in Durban, Stellenbosch claimed a 5-0 win thanks to goals from Khomotjo Lekoloane, Devin Titus (two), Chumani Butsaka and Ibraheem Jabaar.
