AmaZulu will be going up against Royal AM in the Round of 32 of the Nedbank Cup at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Thursday evening. Kick off is at 19:00 CAT.

The last time the two sides faced each other was in the DStv Premiership, where Usuthu walked away with a 3-0 win against their KZN rivals.

The team are coming off the back of a disappointing result against Cape Town Spurs and will be looking to bounce back in the Nedbank Cup.

Coach Pablo Franco expressed some concern about the team’s current injuries but his eyes are set on making it to the Round of 16.

“When we reach the last 16 we will be in a better shape and I think we are going to have our chances like we did in the Carling Knockout. If we can convert them, we can go far,” Franco Martin said.

“We will try to do our best and fight for the win. We are trying to be better. If we keep on doing like that, I will be happy,” he added.

“We need to be realistic, AmaZulu is now a better team than a few months ago and this is what we are trying to do. Sometimes results don’t go our way, but we want to keep going with the process of improving this team and the players, which is what we are doing.”
