AmaZulu walked away with a point in their latest DStv Premiership outing against Cape Town Spurs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday evening. AmaZulu were strong with their attacking efforts, but failed to find the back of the net due to the lack of being clinical when it comes to finishing in the first half.

Despite not being able to score their chances, Usuthu found a good balance in terms of attacking and defending and were unlucky to concede in the first 45 minutes of play. The goal from CT Spurs was scored by youngster Luke Baartman, who headed in a corner right towards the end of half time. Unfortunately, AmaZulu seemingly reacted too slowly in the build up to the goal.

The second half saw Cape Town Spurs grow in terms of confidence in charging for the goal, however they were not able to capitalise on their chances. Usuthu seemed a bit subdued in the beginning stages of the second half but eventually picked up momentum and scored in the 79th minute through Celimpilo Ngema who grabbed the equaliser.

The remaining stages of the match saw both teams try to make an effort to score the winning goal but it was not to be and they had to share the spoils. The result sees AmaZulu remain in 8th position on the DStv Premiership log.
