AmaZulu Football Club President Sandile Zungu has conveyed his profound sadness at the passing away of prominent football administrator and businessman, Bonginkosi Hlophe.
Hlophe was the owner of Maritzburg City FC and served in various roles in the SAFA structures. He previously worked as General Manager at AmaZulu FC.
Zungu’s thoughts and prayers are with the Hlophe family and the broader football fraternity during this difficult time. He says Hlophe was a loyal servant of the game who will never be forgotten.
“I would like to convey my deepest condolences to the Hlophe family, friends and relatives as well as the wider football community. Bonginkosi will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched. As you grieve, know that we are remembering and honouring him,” Zungu concludes.
