AmaZulu is set to take on Stellenbosch FC in the Last 16 of the Carling Black Label Knockout Cup at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Friday evening.

Kick-off is at 19h00 CAT.

Usuthu hasn’t had a good start to the new season, losing three of their first league matches. The poor run of form saw the club part ways with former head coach Pablo Franco Martin.

Arthur Zwane and Vusimuzi Vilakazi were appointed co-head coaches during the international break, and the two are looking forward to turning things around.

“We’re playing against a top team, there’s no doubt about it,” said coach Zwane in a press conference leading up to the game.

“They are oozing confidence, they’ve been doing very well. We’re expecting nothing but a tough game. It’s all up to us on how we neutralise them.”

Stellenbosch are in good form at the moment, and fell at the final hurdle of the MTN8 cup where they were beaten by Orlando Pirates.

“Our players know what is at stake and we also know. This is one game for me that will be a confidence booster, and for the players as well,” Zwane added.
