Usuthu will be gunning for glory in their next Betway Premiership match as they travel to take on TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.
AmaZulu have shown significant improvement after a rough start to the season, recording back-to-back league wins against Chippa United and Richards Bay.
The Rockets are unbeaten in their last three matches following the departure of former head coach Sead Ramovic.
Usuthu midfielder Ethan Brooks has praised the influence of co-coaches Arthur Zwane and Vusimuzi Vilakazi, highlighting how the duo has transformed the players’ attitude and mindset.
Durban’s side will be missing suspended defender Abbubaker Mobara, while Galaxy will need to cope without Mlungisi Mbunjana, who is also serving a suspension.
“I’d say the coaches have changed our attitude and mindset. We understand what they want from us, so I give them credit for these back-to-back wins because they’re really pushing us to fight very hard in every game without being picky and performing only against the big teams,” Brooks told Sowetan.
“Yes, it’s not a normal thing to have two coaches but it seems to be working fine for us. We have adapted to different dynamics where one coach wants you to do this and the other wants you to do that, but what helps is that it’s all for a common goal of helping the team.”
Brooks revealed that AmaZulu are aiming for a top-eight finish despite their precarious position near the relegation zone.
“Right now, we’re in a very unsafe spot. Our main focus is to climb the table because our goal is to secure a top-eight finish,” the midfielder explained.
